Paraguay
Paraguay is a landlocked country bordering Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia. It has large swamps of wetland, subtropical forest and Chaco, a wilderness consisting of savannas and thickets. The capital, Asunción, situated on the banks of the Paraguay River, is home to the grandiose Government Palace and the Museo del Barro, which displays pre-Columbian ceramic pieces and nhanduti lace.
It´s the country of Jesuit Route, is a circuit that recreates the passage of the Jesús Company through our lands, who together with the natives of the place, settled in the midst of the South American jungles, who surpassed the rest of the colony in art and culture. Although the foundations were more than 50, only 30 were the towns that managed to consolidate, 8 of which are in the territory of Paraguay and are: San Ignacio Guazú, Santa María de Fe, Santa Rosa, Santiago, San Cosme and San Damián, Itapúa (the current city of Encarnación), Holy Trinity of Paraná and Jesus of Tavarangue.
